NCCH Boards of Directors

Northern Cochise Community Hospital is unique in the fact that it is one of the few organizations that functions under the direction of two boards of directors. In 1968, the Northern Cochise Hospital District was formed to serve the healthcare needs of the residents of Northeastern Cochise County. In order for the district to carry out its mandate, Northern Cochise Community Hospital, Inc. was hired to provide healthcare services in the hospital district.

The district and the corporation each operate with a Board of Directors. Consequently, the hospital, its staff and administrators answer to both boards. Outlined below is an explanation of each board and its respective functions:

Ensuring the Best Healthcare

The District Board of Directors focuses on ensuring the healthcare needs of the hospital district are addressed and Northern Cochise Community Hospital, Inc. functions as expected.

The Corporate Board of Directors ensures that the core values of the hospital remain as a guide for all aspects of healthcare offered at the hospital and clinics, and that the hospital delivers the services it was hired to provide.
