Northern Cochise Nursing Home was the first nursing home in Cochise County, opening in 1972. There is a 24 bed capacity and the census is usually at capacity. The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for all activities involving the nursing home. The Director of Nursing supervises all aspects of care with a staff of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nursing Assistants. The Nursing Home staff takes pride in providing loving care to all of the residents. The quality of care delivered is evidenced in the "Excellent" rating received during State surveys.
Resident's Primary Care Providers visit the residents routinely and are just a phone call away if needed. Individualized care plans are formulated and followed to promote residents functioning at the highest practicable level possible. The Activities Director plans different activities throughout the day to satisfy the needs of our residents and brighten their day. Volunteers from the community are always welcome and encouraged to share their talents with the residents-piano playing, reading to the residents, helping with bingo, crafts, meeting spiritual needs are just a few areas where volunteers can help. If interested in volunteering contact the Activity Director.
